I used budget to move from San Diego to San Francisco. Aside from that being a *very* long drive, the truck performed well, service was good - and I even got upgraded to a larger size truck in SD for free! Would use again.

Best price I could find on a rental truck for my move from San Diego to Boulder City. I reserved the moving truck 2 weeks in advance and showed up to pick it up at the scheduled time of 9:00am. However, the tow trailer for my car wasn't there yet and wouldn't be ready for another 2 hours. We ended up loading the Budget rental truck while waiting for the tow dolly. Then when I went to pick up the tow dolly from the Budget truck rental place, my car couldn't it make it up the ramp without potentially cracking my front bumper. My '94 Acura Integra is not lowered and is on standard tires - the Budget truck rental website even asked for my year, make, and model of car being towed without mentioning it wouldn't work. The alternative proposed by the Budget moving truck guy was to rent the full size car trailer for another $100 (insert angry emoticon here). Instead we took the bumper off my car - using tools provided by one of the nicer Budget employees. The ride in the moving truck from California to Nevada was fairly uneventful. Not enough power in the truck to do much more than 35 mph up the Cajon Pass while towing the Integra - (disappointed emoticon). As I was coming out of the mountains towards Stateline, the check engine light came on. I called the guy at the Budget truck place I would be dropping off at, and he said not to worry about it. He was right, the truck got me to our unload and to the truck rental drop off without any problems. Pros: Cheap - 400 miles included for my 300 mile drive. Clean Rental Truck It's not a Uhaul A/C & Heater Cons: No Cruise Control Car Tow Dolly wasn't ready Check Engine Light Came on
